The 2008 Governor's Transportation Safety Awards were presented Wednesday, June 11 at the Annual Conference on Transportation Safety in Portsmouth, VA. The awards are presented annually by Virginia's Transportation Safety Board. (News Release)

Assisting in the presentation of the awards were (from left to right) Mr. David Mitchell of the Virginia Highway Safety Office (Department of Motor Vehicles); Mr. Charles Rosemond, Chairman of the Transportation Safety Board; and Deputy Secretary of Transportation Ralph Davis. Mr. Melvin Robertson, Awards Committee Chair for the Transportation Safety Board, announced the winners.
